Wee Seng counts over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, across fab start up, process integration, technology development, yield improvement, manufacturing, equipment engineering, cost management and program management.
Helming the SSIA Secretariat team since 2018, Wee Seng has redefined the association’s strategic directions and operations, to better deliver its mission and vision. Embracing a holistic approach to driving business transformation in Singapore and the region, he concurrently sits on several Advisory Committees, such as in Singapore Polytechnic’s School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (SEEE), the government and industry-backed Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific (ITAP) platform, as well as ESG’s Smart Manufacturing Technical Committee (SMTC) and Environment and Resources Standards Technical Committee for Energy.
Wee Seng holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a Masters (MSc) in Management of Technology from National University of Singapore.
Eelko Brinkhoff has been working for 25 years in economic development in the Netherlands before joining PhotonDelta in February 2024. In his previous role as Managing Director Internationalisation at the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) he gained a lot of experience and knowledge in the field of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), internationalisation of SME's, innovation cooperation and economic development. He has built a strong network in the Netherlands and abroad towards business, government, knowledge institutes and universities. In his role as CEO of PhotonDelta the challenge is to mature the organisation after a period of rapid growth and to become an internationally recognised accelerator for the photonic chip industry. PhotoDelta plays a key role in making the integrated photonics ecosystem indispensable for the goals and challenges that we face today. Photonic chips will become critical in various applications such as quantum computing, robotics, sustainable agriculture and autonomous driving. PhotonDelta as a Dutch world leading ecosystem will be a driving force to make this happen.
Jagadish has more than three decades of experience in the semiconductor & electronics industry in Singapore and the region. He is currently working as a CEO in Advanced Micro Foundry, Singapore.
He was appointed CEO of Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd. (SSMC) on December 15, 2006.
After 13 years of CEO role in the successful JV, SSMC, he joined as a CEO at Advanced Micro Foundry in the semiconductor industry to turn around the company into Si-Photonics Foundry business. Since May 2021, the company is doubling its revenue every two years and growing into greater heights offering solutions to connectivity, computing and sensing applications using Si-Photonics to the world.
Jagadish has served as Chairman (Singapore Water Network), Ministry of Environment & Water Resources; Deputy Chairman Singapore Quality Assurance (SQA) Governing Council for Business Excellence, Enterprise Singapore; Vice Chairman, SEMI Singapore & others. In recognition of his industry leadership and contribution of Singapore, he was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) by the President, Republic of Singapore in 2019 and the ‘Eco Friend’ Award from National Environment Agency (NEA), Singapore in 2018.
Jagadish graduated with a Bachelor of Electronics & Communication (First Class Honours) from the National Institute of Engineering Mysore, India in 1979 & has done the International Executive Program at INSEAD, France in 2005.
Yuqing Jiao received bachelor’s degree with honor from the Chu Kochen Honors College, Zhejiang University, China, in 2008. After that, he received the Philips Brainbridge Fellowship and conducted joint PhD research on integrated photonics at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), the Netherlands, and the Zhejiang University.
In 2013, he obtained dual PhD degrees from the two universities. He continued his research at TU/e, and was appointed Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in 2016 and 2023, respectively. His research interests include integrated nanophotonics technology for ultrahigh speed and energy efficiency, and heterogeneous integration for the convergence of photonics and electronics. He is a senior member of the IEEE and serves TPCs for multiple top conferences in the field.
Terry Teh has over 30 years of experience in semiconductor Integrated Circuits (IC) design, application, sales, business development, and management. He earned a first-class honors Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Adelaide, Australia (1991) and a Master’s degree from the National University of Singapore (1998).
Terry began his career at Toshiba Electronics (1991–1993) as a Senior ASIC Application Engineer. He then joined Motorola Singapore IC Design Center in 1993 as part of its pioneer team, rising to IC Design Section Head (Staff Engineer) during his eight-year tenure. At Motorola, he led teams in designing flagship ICs, including HC05, HC08, 68000, and the ARM7-based Dragon Ball Media Processor, a predecessor to the NXP i.MX series.
In 2001, Terry joined Infineon Singapore as a Project Manager (Senior Principal Engineer), overseeing multiple IC design projects. He later contributed to a startup, eMicro, before co-founding Advinno Technologies in 2002.
Terry’s career highlights include leading the development of cutting-edge ICs, building strong teams, and driving business growth. His blend of technical expertise and leadership defines his success in both innovation and entrepreneurship within the semiconductor industry.
Rich Hueners is the Chief Commercial Officer at Palomar Technologies, Inc. and Managing Director of Palomar’s Asia Pacific operation. Based in Singapore since 2013, Rich has been instrumental in driving the company’s strategic vision for its core automated bonding equipment portfolio and in particular by establishing Palomar’s regional Asia assembly-as-a-service operation. Through these business lines, Palomar engages with large MNCs and smaller, cutting-edge startups companies on their complex packaging and assembly requirements, gaining continuous insight into best process and material practices.
René joined Soitec since April 2023, holds an M.Sc in Electronics Engineering and brings over 20 years of semiconductor industry experience.
After beginning his career at Philips Semiconductors, he transitioned to a managerial role at NXP, leading RF IC development sites in the United States and Singapore. René later joined Nexperia in Hong Kong as head of Operations and subsequently became Operations Manager for Automotive at ams-Osram in Singapore.
His international experience spans Europe, the United States, Hong Kong and Singapore, where he is now based, showcasing his proficiency in managing multi-site and multicultural teams.
