Andrew Chong has over thirty years of experience in the technology market, in the fields of strategy, leadership, management, skills development, marketing and organisational development.

He currently serves on the Future Economy Council (FEC) Manufacturing Sub-committee co-chaired by the Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry. In the field of training and development he chairs the external review panel for the Polytechnic Quality Assurance Framework and is the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Institute of Technical Education (ITE). He is a Board Member of the Ministry of Manpower’s Workforce Singapore Agency (WSG).

Andrew stepped down as Regional President and Managing Director of Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific in August 2017 but remains active in the semiconductor industry through his Chairmanship of the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA). He also holds Board and advisory roles in several technology start-up companies.

He is on the Board of Mapletree Industrial Trust Management Ltd, the Manager for Singapore Exchange listed Mapletree Industrial Trust. He serves on the Boards of NTUC Health Cooperative and the Employment and Employability Institute Pte Ltd.

Andrew received his Bachelor of Electronics Engineering in 1987 and Master of Business Administration in 1993 from the University of Adelaide in South Australia. He was conferred a Medal of Commendation at the 2017 May Day Awards for promoting good industrial relations and initiating workers’ training and skills upgrading programmes and has co-authored a book on the technological and business trends in the automotive market in Asia.

Ms Jacqueline Poh was appointed Managing Director (Designate) of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) on 1 September 2021.

She was previously Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office Strategy Group, which leads and organises the Public Service to develop and implement the strategic priorities of the Government. She also oversaw the National Population and Talent Division and the Centre for Strategic Futures.

Ms Poh was the founding Chief Executive of the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech), and was previously the Managing Director of the Infocommunications Development Authority (IDA). She has also held key positions in the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Defence.

Ms Poh is an alumnus of Oxford, Cambridge, INSEAD (MBA) and Stanford. She has three teenagers and more patience than before she had them. She currently sits on the Boards of SingHealth and St Luke’s Eldercare, and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation and the World Economic Forum Global Futures Council.

Alpesh Patel is a Partner at McKinsey & Company in Singapore. He holds a L2 certification in Operations – Manufacturing, and is one of the core Industry 4.0 leaders in Asia.

As the Leader of our Digital Capability Centers in Asia-Pacific, Alpesh works on cutting-edge Industry 4.0 topics, including IOT, robotics, advanced analytics and design thinking with 5 key objectives:
- Showcase Industry 4.0 on a real-life company example, and along the value chain (procurement, manufacturing, supply chain)
- Build capabilities at scale on Industry 4.0 topics
- Convene an ecosystem of technology partners, including startups
- Assist companies in their Industry 4.0 transformations
- Serve as testbed for Industry 4.0 pre-pilots

Alpesh has extensive experience in manufacturing, logistics, as well as project management companies:
- Industry 4.0 Human Capital Initiative, allowing 300 manufacturing companies to experiment a digital transformation through the installation of IOT solutions to identify productivity, process and talent gaps
- Industry 4.0 diagnostic and roadmap for an aerospace engine MRO company
- Industry 4.0 transformation program including deployment of digital performance engine, industrial IOT and automation solutions for front-end semiconductor plant
- Industry 4.0 walkthrough at motorsports company with focus on product development, assembly 4.0 and supplier management
- Outfitting productivity improvement program for an EPC in the offshore oil and gas sector, looking at streamlining interactions between design and production, activity scheduling, and shop-floor productivity
- Industry 4.0 diagnostic with identification of key improvement opportunities and roadmap for back-end semiconductor plant

Before McKinsey & Company, Alpesh worked during 7 years for the Ferrari F1 Team as Senior Aerodynamicist, developing of key areas of the car and transferring know-how to the road car product development division. Prior to that, he worked for a startup, leading the development of flow simulation software used in the turbomachinery, automotive and aerospace sectors.

Alpesh holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a native French speaker and is fluent in English and Italian.

Laurence is the Director for AI Innovation at AI Singapore and is driving the adoption of AI by the Singapore ecosystem through the 100 Experiments, AI Apprenticeship programmes and the various AI Makerspace initiatives.

A visionary and serial technopreneur, Laurence identified and introduced Singapore's enterprises to:
• Linux and open source in 1999, by being the first RED HAT partner and authorized training centre in Asia Pacific
• High Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster in 2001, by building A-STAR’s IHPC first compute cluster (most of the initial HPC clusters in NUS, NTU, SMU were built by Laurence and his team)
• Grid Computing in 2003, by building and operating Singapore's first Grid platform - IDA's National Grid Pilot Platform
• Cloud Computing in 2007, by architecting both the Cloud business and technology for then Singapore Computer Systems' Alatum Cloud (now owned by Singtel/NCS)
• Data Science with R in 2011, by building Revolution Analytics Inc business in Asia and R&D team in Singapore. Revolution Analytics was acquired by Microsoft in 2015.

Laurence graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) with First Class Honours in Engineering and holds a Masters in Knowledge Engineering from NUS.

Jagadish has more than three decades of experience in the semiconductor & electronics industry in Singapore and the region. Jagadish is well respected in his ability to deliver sound financial business growth, address multiple stakeholders’ needs, and execute first-class risk management, succession planning, sustainability & ethics.

Jagadish was appointed CEO of Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd. (SSMC) on December 15, 2006. As CEO of SSMC, over 13 years, he delivered best in class manufacturing in quality, cost, cycle time & financial performance. Shareholders and stakeholders appreciated his vision and transformation through complex business situations (e.g. riding the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis and the Global Financial Crisis in 2008).

Prior to his appointment as CEO at SSMC, Jagadish was the Vice President, Business Operations of SSMC., wherein he established business creation process throughout the company, which was an important need for a start-up. He began his career as an R&D Engineer with Indian Telephone Industries and product engineer at National Semiconductors, Singapore, before advancing to holding several key managerial positions in the private sector including Philips, Singapore. He was a Director with FEI Company of USA before embarking his career with SSMC, Singapore.

Jagadish has served as Chairman (Singapore Water Network), Ministry of Environment & Water Resources; Deputy Chairman Singapore Quality Assurance (SQA) Governing Council for Business Excellence, Enterprise Singapore; Vice Chairman, SEMI Singapore & others. In recognition of his industry leadership and contribution of Singapore, he was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) by the President, Republic of Singapore in 2019 and the ‘Eco Friend’ Award from National Environment Agency (NEA), Singapore in 2018.

Jagadish graduated with a Bachelor of Electronics & Communication (First Class Honours) from the National Institute of Engineering Mysore, India in 1979 & has done the International Executive Program at INSEAD, France in 2005. Jagadish has served in many industry, regulatory, public institutions steering and advisory councils.

Ms Jen Tan is Head of Integrated Solutions (Singapore and SEA) at Sembcorp Industries. She is responsible for growing the portfolio of offerings under Sembcorp’s suite of sustainable solutions in Singapore and Southeast Asia – these include integrating energy, water, waste and digital solutions that help customers meet their environmental sustainability targets.

Prior to her current role, she was responsible for business development, project development and execution as well as operations and maintenance of solar projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Under her leadership, Jen has successfully grown the business to become one of the largest solar players in Singapore.

Jen has over 11 years of experience in the solar industry. Before joining Sembcorp, she was Vice President of APAC Sales and Energy Solutions in REC Solar Pte Ltd responsible for driving business growth in the region. In her time at REC, she was part of the pioneer team in starting up the REC manufacturing facility in Tuas. Prior to that, Jen was in the semiconductor industry for nearly a decade, focusing primarily on planning.

Jen holds a BA degree in Economics and Statistics from the National University of Singapore, and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA with National University of Singapore.

Charting Singtel Group Enterprise’s new growth engines, Dennis leads the strategy, development and the management of product and platform for 5G and Cloud.

Prior to Singtel, Dennis was the Managing Director of Networks and Chief Technology Officer for Optus, a fully Singtel-owned subsidiary in Australia. Under his leadership, Dennis led numerous pivotal projects and launched several world-first initiatives in 4G and 5G technologies, bringing about Optus as one of the top quartile performers in the industry.

Dennis received a double MBA from Management of Technology from Waseda University (Japan) and Nanyang Business School (NBS-NTU). He also holds a B.Eng (EEE) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Wei Hoe started his career with Infineon in 2002, with the EDB TAP Program placement. He was with Infineon Germany HQ before joining Infineon Singapore in end 2003 as a Contactless System Application Engineer, providing technical system solutions and key support to the Asia Pacific region.

Since 2016, he moved to the marketing function taking care of Embedded Security Solutions in CSS AP division, and led the Infineon Smart Home Applications while it was in its emerging phase to position the company’s offerings and solutions to the market, while assessing gaps to bridge for future success.

In his current role, he leads a dynamic team of Regional Application Marketers focusing on IoT Systems segments for Asia Pacific with the Connected Secure Systems (CSS) Division. The team is responsible for driving CSS division IoT business of Compute, Wireless and Security segments, establishing and enabling G2M strategy to expand business with existing and new customers and partners, while as well seeking new emerging IoT trends that allows scaling up in the future.

Sascha Maennl started working at Siemens in 1988 as a trainee in energy electronics. He became a service engineer before going on to become a project manager.

With a background that includes project management, business development of a German region, and serving as General Manager of Siemens Industry for nearly four years in Libya, Sascha has counted a number of notable positions. From 2009, he worked closely with Asia, while serving as Regional Manager in the Siemens corporate headquarters. He also led the Process Automation team based in Siemens India in Mumbai in 2011.

Sascha has been based in Singapore since May 2019, and currently holds the position of Senior Director Factory Automation Sales Asia-Pacific for Digital Industry.

Dr Wu Jie has 12 years of experience in the semiconductor packaging and assembly industry, and has led customer support experience for top integrated device manufacturers.

In his current role, he leads a diverse Technical Customer Service (TCS) team in Southeast Asia, focusing on serving electronic accounts with bonding, connecting, sealing, coating, protection and thermal management solutions. Dr Wu also manages laboratories in Singapore and Vietnam to support customer failure analysis as well as product development activities.

He holds a Ph.D in micro-electromechanical system (MEMS).
